Terms of Use
Last updated 2026-07-31
These terms govern your use of Wave Node (the Service). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.
1. Accounts and workspaces
Access is organised into workspaces. Data belonging to one workspace is not readable from another; where a workspace is not resolved, the Service returns nothing rather than falling back to returning everything. You are responsible for who you invite into your workspace and for what they do with the access you grant them.
You must keep your credentials and API keys confidential. An API key grants the same access to your workspace's data that you have, and we cannot distinguish a request made with your key from one made by you. Tell us immediately if a key is exposed, and revoke it yourself in Settings.
2. Connected data sources
The Service reads Google Search Console data for the properties you connect. You represent that you are entitled to grant that access for every property you connect, and that doing so does not breach any agreement you have with Google or with the property's owner. Revoking the connection stops further reads; it does not by itself delete data already imported, which is covered in the Privacy Policy.
3. What the figures mean
The Service distinguishes figures that were measured from figures that were calculated or modelled, and states which is which alongside the number. This distinction is not decorative and you should not disregard it:
- Clicks and impressions are measured, but Search Console omits rare queries, so sums are lower bounds, not totals.
- Rankings, opportunity scores and modelled traffic are derived. They are estimates of what has happened, not forecasts of what will, and no figure in the Service is a guarantee of future search performance.
You are responsible for decisions you take on the basis of these figures. The Service is a measurement tool, not advice.
4. Usage, vendor costs and fair use
Some analyses call third-party data providers that charge per request. Those calls are metered and visible to you in Usage, and they may be subject to a spending cap. We may decline or defer requests that would exceed a cap, or that place a disproportionate load on the Service. We will not knowingly incur vendor spend on your behalf beyond a cap you have configured.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- connect a property you are not entitled to access;
- attempt to reach data belonging to another workspace;
- resell, redistribute or republish bulk data obtained through the Service as a competing dataset;
- probe, scan or load-test the Service, or circumvent rate limits, quotas or spending caps.
6. Your content and our service
You keep all rights in the data you connect and the content you create. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the Service for you — to store, process and display that data back to your workspace. We claim no ownership of it.
We keep all rights in the Service itself, including its software, interface and design. These terms grant you a right to use it, not to own any part of it.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available and correct, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that third-party data sources will remain available on their current terms. We may change or discontinue features; where a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will tell you in advance.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your workspace at any time. We may suspend access that breaches section 5, or that we reasonably believe puts other customers or a data provider's terms at risk, and will tell you why.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, the Service is provided as-is, and our aggregate liability arising from it is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue or losses arising from decisions taken on the basis of figures the Service marked as calculated or modelled.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and we will notify account holders of material changes before they take effect.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms should go to the contact address published for your workspace's billing account.
